Look and feel your very best!

The acclaimed spa staff at The Oaks Club knows massage is one of the oldest and simplest forms of therapy. The basic goal of massage therapy is to help the body heal itself, increase health and well-being, forestall illness, and promote longevity. When Members arrive for their massage treatment, they enter a world of relaxation and serenity. Our team is trained in various modalities of massage therapy including: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Craniosacral, Ashiatsu, Thai, and Maternity massage.

The wellness benefits of massage therapy will lead your body closer to optimal well-being. Regular treatments have numerous health benefits, such as improving your day-to-day outlook, relieving stress, promoting optimal sports performance, encouraging relaxation, improving circulation, and strengthening the immune system.

LESS STRESS. MORE PLAYING.
Stress has a lot to do with the tension you feel in your shoulders; it can also affect your heart and your blood pressure. Working out muscle tension during a massage makes chronic pain, as well as acute or short-term stress, much easier to let go.

BETTER POSTURE. MORE CONFIDENCE
That bad posture can quickly become a bad habit – massage loosens muscles and joints to reinforce the body's natural movements.

INCREASED CIRCULATION. MORE RELAXATION.
Muscle tension constricts your circulation – massage helps release those chronically tense and tightened muscles to increase blood flow and help flush toxins out of your body.

Reservations, Cancellations, and Tipping Policy
To schedule appointments, contact the WellFit Center at 941-441-1864. The Oaks Club WellFit Center recommends scheduling treatments a minimum of two days in advance, to ensure the best availability. Same day appointments are available on a limited basis.
As a courtesy to other Members, the WellFit Center requires cancellations or changes be made a minimum of 24 hours prior to your appointment. No-shows or cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged 50% of the treatment price.
The Oaks Club is a non-tipping club. All employees should not expect or accept tips directly from Members (unless noted from other departments in the House Rules).
The WellFit Center recommends Members and their guests arrive 10 minutes prior to their service. As a consideration to other Members and guests who have appointments, should you arrive late for your appointment your treatment will end at the scheduled time.

Showering prior to your treatment is always recommended. To ensure your comfort during your treatment we suggest you disrobe to your comfort level. Please be assured our therapists are trained to drape you discretely and professionally. We urge you to remove all jewelry and makeup prior to your treatment.

For your safety and comfort please advise the massage therapist of all physical ailments, illness, or allergies prior to your treatment. This includes recent surgeries, injuries, and medical conditions. Certain medical conditions can be aggravated by massage, including but not limited to high or low blood pressure, heart disease, or pregnancy, if proper techniques are not used. Be assured that all medical information is confidential.

It is important to consume adequate amounts of water before and after your treatment. We recommend Members and guests refrain from drinking alcohol immediately before, during, or following your treatment.

Your treatment time is your time to relax and enjoy yourself. Please don’t hesitate to communicate with your therapists during your treatment on matters of comfort or well-being. The therapists will do everything in their means to accommodate your reasonable requests.

Carlos Castro

LMT (MA72628). Carlos is a licensed massage therapist who graduated in 2013 from the prestigious Steiner Group Baltimore School of Massage in Maryland. His studies focused on deep tissue massage, therapeutic, neuromuscular massage, and he is pursuing a certification in sport massage and/or medical massage. In 2013, his wife's employment relocated them to Sarasota where he quickly gained popularity for his massage and bodywork through word of mouth recommendations among his private clients. Carlos practices massage and bodywork here at the WellFit Center, and is an active member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

Carlos was inspired to enter the field of massage while living in his home country of Costa Rica (you will notice he still has an accent). Carlos originally earned an Agricultural Engineering degree at the University of Costa Rica. Working in the engineering field was not rewarding or high activity/energy, so Carlos quickly gained interest in becoming a massage therapist. His professional pursuit of a career in massage arose from his love of playing outdoor sports such as soccer, paddle boarding, and mountain biking. Massage was a major part of his personal training process; it has helped him to recover faster and perform better. The experience of being able to have contact with different people all the time, help them through their issues, and ultimately improve their overall quality of life both mentally and physically, makes Carlos very passionate about his work and client’s wellbeing.
