House Rules

Registration for Classes

To assure your participation in all classes, and to insure optimum class size, registration is required prior to class. Registrations can be made up to seven days in advance via email to [email protected], on the website, or by calling the WellFit Center receptionists at 941-441-1864.

Please note: classes with less than three registered attendees may be canceled, therefore making your registration is critical to the enjoyment of all. Class size is limited to a first come, first served basis with priority going to those that registered for the class.

Rules and Regulations

  1. The Director of Fitness, and any member of Wellfit staff designated by the Director of Fitness, will handle specific assignments and duties.
  2. The Director of Fitness is authorized to manage expectations to rules as may be necessary.
  3. Operating hours for the WellFit Center will be posted and may be changed from time to time.
  4. A health questionnaire must be completed and signed before using the Wellfit facility and/or a personal trainer. No physician or nurse will be on duty. The Oaks Club reserves the right to require a physician’s referral for exercise protocol.
  5. Prior to use of the WellFit Center, Members, Associates and their guest(s) (collectively “Users”) are required to sign a waiver of liability agreeing to hold The Oaks Club and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents harmless from any and all injuries sustained from the use of the Center. Pregnant women should consult with their physician prior to using the WellFit Center. It is the responsibility of all Users to consult with their physician, and Users should be in good physical condition and have no physical, medical or psychological conditions, disabilities, impairments or ailments, chronic or otherwise, which would preclude, impair or prevent them from using the fitness facilities, or engaging in active or passive exercise. Users assume full risk of loss and responsibility for damage to their health.
  6. Any User with health or physical limitations or concerns should first consult their physician before using any of the fitness facilities.
  7. All individuals must check in at the front desk upon arrival and prior to using the WellFit Center for each visit.
  8. Proper attire is required at all times. Appropriate athletic t-shirts, shorts/pants, and closed-toe shoes are required (with exception for stretching/yoga/activities allowing for stocking or bare feet). Improperly dressed Users shall be required to change before access. If there is doubt concerning attire, please check with the front desk. Any misuse or disregard of the Rules and Regulations may cause privileges to be reviewed or suspended.
  9. Guests must be in possession of a valid guest pass or be accompanied by a Member or an Associate.
  10. Guest fees will be charged to the sponsoring Member’s or Associate’s Club account for the WellFit Center.
  11. Children of Members or Associates age 14 and over may use the WellFit facilities. All children must complete a mandatory fitness orientation in order to use the WellFit facilities. No persons under 14 years of age are permitted in the WellFit facilities.
  12. Guests must be at least 14 years of age to use the WellFit Center (minors will require parental or guardian consent).
  13. It is the responsibility of all Users to obtain instruction on how to use the equipment prior to usage of such equipment, and to use the equipment only in accordance with such instructions.
  14. Use of the Center is not supervised except in the cases of properly scheduled personal training sessions and all users operate equipment at their own risk.
  15. All Users are responsible for using a towel during use of all fitness equipment and must wipe down any piece of equipment after use.
  16. All weights and equipment must be returned to their proper places upon completion of use.
  17. Dropping dumbbells and free weight bars is not permitted. All free weight exercise should be performed in a safe and respectful manner.
  18. In consideration of other Users, avoid unnecessary noise and improper conduct. Radios and other music players may not be played in the fitness facilities unless headphones are used.
  19. Lockers are provided for daily use. No clothing or personal articles may be stored under benches, on exercise equipment, or in the common areas. Lockers are emptied each evening and any items left will be removed to the Lost and Found storage.
  20. The Oaks Club shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any private property used or stored on the WellFit Center.
  21. The control of the fans and temperature in the fitness studio is the responsibility of the staff. Users are not permitted to adjust the controls. Issues regarding the temperature and ventilation should be reported to fitness management.
  22. No smoking, eating, or consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be permitted in the WellFit Center.
  23. No personal fitness trainers are permitted except those provided by or through The Oaks Club.
  24. Group exercise classes have limits on capacity depending on the type of class. Class participation can be signed up for up to 7 days in advance. Priority for participation goes to those Members and Associates that have signed up followed by any Member and Associate walk-ins and then guests. All classes have a posted start time which will be considered the cut-off for honoring any reservations.
  25. Cell phone use is prohibited in the WellFit Center. Please set phones on silent mode and take calls outside of the building.
  1. The Treatment Rooms are for use by Members, Associates, and guests with scheduled appointments only.
  2. Guests are not restricted on a daily or monthly basis except they must be in possession of a valid guest pass or with a sponsoring member. All guest charges will be placed on the sponsoring member’s account.
  3. Age Requirements: a. Treatments are reserved for adults. Children between the ages of 14 and 18 may obtain treatments with written parental consent. b. The locker rooms may be used by those 14 years of age and older.
  4. Persons receiving a Treatment are required to fill in a brief health screening questionnaire prior to receiving the service.
  5. No shows and cancellations not made the previous day (i.e. up to closing time the day prior to the scheduled appointment) will be assessed a fee equal to 50% of the service fee.
  6. Arriving late for a service will limit the time of the massage/treatment and the full fee will be charged.
  7. Any inappropriate behavior, as determined in the discretion of Center staff, exhibited by a client while receiving a treatment will result in the immediate termination of the treatment, with the full fee still charged, and the Member, Associate, or sponsoring Member/Associate of a guest may be subject to disciplinary action. Repeat transgressions will result in the suspension of the privilege to receive treatments.
