The WellFit Center at The Oaks Club is an inspirational fitness and wellness center. We have the newest technology in cardiovascular, free weight area, stretch area, spinning studio, group fitness studio, personal training, massage, and locker rooms.

Member access is allowed during posted hours. WellFit staff may not always be available. Doors to enter will lock at 8:00 p.m. but you may finish your workout.

Keypad Entry:
  • You will use your member number and # key. Example: 0001#
  • Both spouses will use the same number, no "a."
  • When you leave, the sensor will pick up your movement, the door will unlock, and you will leave like you normally do. No buttons pushed.
  • If the sensor doesn't function, there is a small, green button to be pushed, and the door will unlock.
  • Hours are as posted. If you show up before or after these times, your number WILL NOT work.
This information is also posted on the door at the WellFit Center for your convenience.

Registration for Classes

To assure your participation in all classes, and to insure optimum class size, registration is required prior to class. Registrations can be made up to seven days in advance via email to [email protected], on the website, or by calling the WellFit Center receptionists at 941-441-1864.

Please note: classes with less than three registered attendees may be canceled, therefore making your registration is critical to the enjoyment of all. Class size is limited to a first come, first served basis with priority going to those that registered for the class.

WellFit Fitness Orientation

Members are welcome to schedule a complimentary Fitness Orientation session with a WellFit Center team member. Although the orientation is not a personal training session, it:

    » takes about 20-30 minutes
    » provides basics of how to use the weight machines and cardio equipment
    » shows Members how to change settings on cardio machines
    » shows Members how to change seat height and weight selection on pre-selected machines

Members will leave having the knowledge of a basic exercise program that they can implement properly.

Class Descriptions

Shape and sculpt every muscle in your upper body. Using light and medium dumbbells and one heavy weight - you will get outside your comfort zone and chisel your arms.  Additionally, you will be defining your abdomen by strengthening your core with standing and seated exercises. Intensity Level: 2.0

In this calorie-burning class you will experience hills, speed, challenges, and become a fat-burning machine in this express class. Intensity Level: 2.0

Full body workout focusing on all major postural muscle groups with attention to functional movements, balance, and muscle strengthening. The class can be adapted for all levels based on weights chosen and modifications, although a novice may need some additional personal coaching initially.  Intensity Level: 2.0

Focus on strength, core, and power with this full-body workout. Grab a kettlebell and a few dumbbells to meet your exercise level. We combine cardio spurts, punches, and kicks to get your heart rate up! Intensity Level: 2.0

Glutes, hamstrings, and quads - oh my. Focusing on your lower body with bands and heavy, medium, and light dumbbells and finishing off class with abs!

This low-impact class will focus on balance, flexibility, and strengthening your core. You will certainly feel the burn! All you need is your mat.

A mix of Pilates, cardio, and strength training. In this class, you will use props, weights, and your own body’s resistance to build strength and stamina while sculpting your body. Intensity Level 3.0

A gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of 4-6 restful poses.  Intensity Level: 0.5
This class is an hour-long class composed of intervals, rolling hills, climbs, surges, hovers, and heart-pounding jumps while playing a variety of music choreographed to the moves.  Intensity Level: 2.0
Coach By Color® Ride: Coach By Color® optimizes and unifies the group cycling experience by combining the individual rider’s FTP value (continuous power threshold in watts) with five colored training zones. Power-based Coach By Color® training is fun and easy to use and drives results by helping the rider understand how to train at the right intensity. 45-minute ride.  Intensity Level: 2.0
This class is a 45-minute ride with a mix of climbs, intervals, fast flats, rolling hills, and surges. Moves are choreographed to 70s and 80s type music.  Intensity Level: 2.0

Experiencing hills, speed, and challenges with active recoveries in the mix! Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. All levels are welcome!  Intensity Level: 2.0

The class is designed to increase range of motion and flexibilityReduce muscle & joint pain, improve posture, and promote relaxation and stress reduction. The class is performed in a dimly lit room with soft instrumental music so attendees can relax and focus on their individual stretch therapy. All levels can participate, although a novice may need some additional individual coaching for several sessions. Intensity Level: 1.0

Utilizing dumbbells and the TRX bands, there are multiple stations and rounds to work your whole body! All levels are welcome!  Intensity Level: 2.0

Aquatic exercise for all ability levels. The class format consists of HIIT and/or cardio training combined with resistance training for a total body workout. Intensity Level: 1.0

Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. Intensity Level: 0.5
Whole-body awareness is the ultimate goal of building a foundation for Yoga practice. Intensity Level: 1.0
A yoga class tied together with poses that are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence.  Intensity Level: 2.5
This vinyasa class is a 60-minute practice that is a fun and energetic sequence of postures that flow from posture to posture with mindful breath. This class is moderate to hard in nature, where students are encouraged to modify the moves to fit their bodies and needs. Intensity Level: 3.0
