We are the nine hole golf group, fondly known as Girlfriend Golf.  We are committed to strong, friendly, fun-filled rounds of golf, coupled with social opportunities. Everyone is welcome, whether you are new to The Oaks Club, new to golf, or you want to add a new playing choice for your current golf schedule. Nine-hole shotguns are the routine on Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m. We focus on keeping pace (simultaneous completion of play), which creates an opportunity for “after-golf” fun. 

After golf, at 5:00 p.m., we meet for drinks, which allows us to make new acquaintances and to reconnect with friends. Periodically, friends/spouses will be invited to join in our fun and in our game. Our format is relaxed, non-competitive, and supportive. 

We play the forward, orange tees, and posting your scores is optional. When you choose to post your scores, you are expected to follow the rules of golf. Weekly, our golf professionals offer hints about the game and about keeping pace because no one wants to feel rushed or delayed. Some team games are suggested and, if you choose to participate, winners will be acknowledged, and occasionally prizes are given. Make your own twosomes/foursomes, or, better yet, ask to play with someone new. Playing Girlfriend Golf is a choice, not a statement of your commitment to golf or your golfing ability.
